On the authority of Abu Musa Al Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him),who said: The prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
Said : "Charity is necessary for every Muslim " The prophet was asked : what if a person has
nothing?, the prophet replied :" He should work with his own hands for his benefit and then give
something out of such earning in charity " The companion asked : what if he is not able to
work ?, The prophet said :"He should help poor and needy persons " The companion further
asked : what if he cannot do even that ?, The prophet said :" He should
urge others to do good " The companion submitted :what if he lacked that
also ? , the prophet said
:" He should
check himself from doing evil ; that is also charity "
(29) Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while the prophet was sitting in the
company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is
faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His
angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in
Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle
replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers
perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts
during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan
(perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see
Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must
consider that He is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will
the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no
better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its
portents. 1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master. 2. When the
shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in
the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things
which nobody knows except Allah. The prophet then recited: "Verily,
with Allah (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour--." (31. 34) Then that
man (Gabriel) left and the prophet asked his companions to call him
back, but they could not see him. Then the prophet said, "That was
Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah
said: He (the prophet) considered all that as a part of faith[/color]-
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who
said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) said:
"If Allah has loved a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel (on whom be
peace) and says: 'I love So-and-so, therefore love him.'" He (the
Prophet - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "So Gabriel
loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: 'Allah loves
So-and-so, therefore love him.' And the inhabitants of heaven love him."
He (the Prophet - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then
acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a
servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: 'I abhor So-and-so,
therefore abhor him.' So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to
the inhabitants of heaven: 'Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor
him.'" He (the Prophet - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth."

Narrated Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The most superior
among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it to
others."

Narrated Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was neither a Fahish (one who
speaks bad words to make people laugh), nor a Mutafahhish (never used
bad language)." He used to say, "The best amongst you are those who have
the best manners and character.""
